Departed West Palm Beach With many addresses logged in. Enroute Havana, Cuba for el liberten. Left the sunny South for Norfolk, Virginia. Operating with fast carrier task group on Hunter-Killer exercises off Atlantic Coast. Alongside USS Shenandoah fAD+26J for routine tender upkeep. Conducted Week of type training and gunnery exercises at sea. Enroute Dublin, Ireland on Midshipman Cruise Baker. 45 Midshipmen from various NROTC units aboard. ,-:.x..-.w.-..........,,-..,. EXECUTIVE OFTICEIQ Give 'im hell, Cap'n LT Ruehrmund, a native of Richmond, Virginia, graduated from the U.'S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland in 1947. He Was first assigned to the USS Skagit CAKA-1051 and sub- sequently served on the USS Macon QCA-1321 and the USS Charles P. Cecil CDDR-8351 before coming to the Coolbaugh in May 1954 as Executive Officer. LT Ruehrmund now makes his home in Norfolk, where he lives with his Wife and two sons.
