Had willing hands, hard work, her master key. She had unending interest ln her fellawman And ne'er refused a hand to lend To anyone ln stress. She was our friend. The little things in life she found worthwhile, A iriend's handclasp, a student's smile. She loved her family, her work, her school. She lived her life by the golden rule. Her courage in great pain Will not be forgotten, nor the flame ol loyalty She tried to light ln students' hearts. She had integrity. She was our friend. How that knowledge glows For us who knew her personally. She was so kind, so generous. To the end she fought head high, and with gentleness. Sporting a wing-T offense powered by a fast, hard-hitting line and an elusive backfield, the team piled up substantial scores against Polk-Central and Chase. Cool Springs was the only team to score more than once against the conference champion, powerful and undefeated Shelby. Throughout the season each player showed the undying spirit and the determination that makes winning games possible. Inspired bya sense of responsibility to a great school soon to be consolidated and the superb coaching combination of Bill Rucker, Ken Daves, and Frank Shytle, the team did a remarkable job. It certainly deserves all the respect and appreciation it has received from students and faculty.
