We all came back to school griping and groaning that vacation was over, but when we reached our home room, and found Mrs. Leding as our home room teacher everyone began to smile. At our first class meeting we elected Terry, president, Byron, vice president, Carol, secretary, Andy, treasurer Kalthough we had no money5g and Connie G.O. representative until she moved, then Ann took over the job. Our Red Cross representatives are Peggy and Tom. Our newcomers this year are Peggy McFarland and Marilyn Mahnke, Our class has participated in the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hospital Benefit programs. Those who went to Coleraine for the Speech Festival were Ann, Connie, Judy, Terry, and Carol. f ' Our class has been studying Choral Reading under the leadership of Mrs. Wurzel. Peggy got her poem entitled nMy Castlen published in WYoung America Singsn. We have one band member, Andy, who plays the trombone. In Girl Scouts, Cheryl, Ann, and Peggy are working for their First-Class Badges. The Boy Scouts, Terry, Byron, Leonard, Richard H., and Alden are working for their First-Class, Second-Class and Tender Foot Badges. Our A-H'rs are Tom, Lloyd, Gary A. and Carol. We will not forget our eighth grade year and our dear teachers. We hope next year will O9 just as interesting and full of fun as this year was. WLOOK OUT NINTH GRADE, HERE WE COME.n
