' PRES1DENT V C V,4SEC.-TREAS. vice rats. . G,o, REP, On September 7, 1955 we Q38 so-called summer vacationers! tramped in Mr. Fortunls home room, number 205. The first riot occurred when we chose class officers. We finally decided on the following: President, Doris Falkg Vice President, Donald Delichg Secretary-Treasurer, John Haryng G.O. Representative Mickey Karni. Most of our girls serve in F.T.A., under Mrs. Goehring's able h d? ership. We enjoy giving assistance to the elementary teachers who are thankful for a brief rest during their busy day. The girls also assist in the library, giving their valuable time to make it a better place in which to learn and study. The singers in our class meet every Friday, to practice the songs our director, Mrs. Wurzel, would have us sing. A highlight in our mu- sical training was a trip to Duluth, last fall, where we sang as a part of a large chorus. Another event we can be, and are proud of is the fact that the ma- jority of our boys tried out for football and basketball. The hazy au- tumn afternoons provided diversion from boring studies. Our boys came in from the field grimy, triumphant and happy Coccasionallyl that is. Later on basketball games gave us an opportunity to show good spmtsmnr- ship. Harlan, a nveterann by now, serves our team as nwater boyu. Another highlight of the year was when all of the Junior Cheer- leaders came from our Freshman class. They were Hope, Shirley, Mary Lou and Beatrice, who did a fine job in leading the cheers. Throughout our Freshman year, we've all had loads of fun, and kE's hope there's more in Store for us in our coming Sophomore year.
