Urick as our homeroom teacher and it was plain to see he liked us too. At our first class meeting we elected Kay president, Janet vice president, Carol secretary-treasurer, and George as G.O. representative. Chucky is our Red Cross representative. We were represented on the football team this year by Darrell, Jerry, Bob T., and Marty. Pat, Kathy, and Kay were reporters on the newspaper staff and did a very good job. Marcia, Janet, Kathy, Kay, Pat, Chucky, and Christine joined F.T.A. They also worked in the library. A few of the boys joined F.F.A. They were Bob T., Claire, Leslie, Dennis, and Curtiss. Claire and Dennis took part in the Donkey basketball game between the Cook and Alango M.F.A. teams. Curtiss and Kay were our band members when school started this fall, but as the year progressed, Carol, Janet, and Christine joined. Our Sophomore chorus members were Carol, Janet, Kathy, Pat, Chucky, Kay, Christine, Curtiss, Leslie, George, and Marty. Chucky, Christine, Pat, kathy, Kay, participated in speech. when we returned to school after the Thanks iving htiloays, we were dis- appointed to find we nad been given the band hall as our homeroom. It may have been a bit drafty at times, but as time passed we woxldn't have traded our UShackn for anything. George Jerry, Darrell, Curtiss, and Jackie were our basketball stars thw year and Chucky was one of the cheerleaders. At the grade school Christmas party, harty played Santa Claus. Danny, Marty, bob R., and Arnie took Driver's Training during the first semester. All of them passed and received their driver's licenses. Janet, hathy, hay, Hope, Penny, Pat, Darrell, Leslie, Jack, and Bob G., took it was ing the last semester. We will not soon forget our Jophomore year, our teachers, nThe Kingdom of Heavenn, and countless other memories. we hope next year will be as inter- esting. Q1 O Q7 . We reported to Room 205 and were happy to find Mrs. Wurzel our class advison First of all, we thought we should keep our class in order, so we elected class officers. The electees were Dick as president, Andy as vice-president Mary as Secretary, and Vern as Treasurer.- We decided Andy would be best to represent us on the G. O. Council. To help out in Red Cross Mary and Keith were chosen. Andy, Kenny, Richard J., Wally, Dick, David, Keith, John and Vern were all spotted on the field as football season came. We say they all came through with no broken bones. We found most of the girls in the Freshmen class helping out teachers in F.T.A. and we're sure they would all make excellent Working hard with Mrs. Wurzel to keep the library going were S., Barbara S., Dorothy A., Norma, and Kathleen. are glad to the emmenuuy teachers. Carol, Nancy We couldn't help but notice Barbara S., Norma, and Byron playing in the band wearing their new uniforms. The voices of over half our class were heard in the chorus. fun singing at the programs and the Music Festival. They all had we were certainly prouu to see Ardyce and Carol chosen as the two add- itional cheerleauers. We think they did very well and hope they keep up the good work. The HBH squad in basketball did pretty well this year with Andy, Richard J., Wally, Kenny, Dick, Keith, and Norman on the team for our class. We were all pretty proud watching them play. Participating in speech were Dorothy A. and Kathleen. We all enjoyed our year as Freshmen and are eagerly looking forward to becoming Sophomores. 'E Mr. Math Fortun arrived on time, ,J 0 Q His job was to keep us all in line. A bright new scholar was Hope Sundeen, 'sm All the boys were pleased, they fairly beamed. In October appeared on the scene A dream of a girl whose name is Marlene. John Amundson, our class president, Keeps the class bubbling with merrinent. Of course, we all think he's pretty keen Because he made the football team. ' Fnary Lou's vice president--she's blonde and petite, F While Judy our secretary-treasurer, is plenty sweet. I B 6 Harlan Miller is a nice fellow to know. hw' He's ready at games with his HZO. Dennis and Darrell can knock on wood P X They warm the benches as benchwarmers should. ' aisg Cneering their best, we present to you- !!gb5QEg Shirley, Beatrice, Judy, and Mary Lou. Three of our members play in the band They help to make it the best in the land. They are, Darrell, Roger, and we musn't forret but toe-dancing Judy with her clarinet. Our librarians really are quite a hely, , They select books from a well filled shelf. g There's Linda, Doris, and friendly Darlene, N 0- gf And Judy and Carol--they're all on the beam. ' John Arvila has gone out for speech, And a lot of good company he will keep. Nith Margaret and Darlene he should learn all the with some encouragement from Sharon and Hope. Ne salute Michael Vidor who serves on Patrol, Faithful and alert though the wind blows cold. So many nice kids in our Hall of Fame, That we just can't mention them all by name.
