The National Beta Club is an organization of high school students of good mentality and char- acter, creditable achievement, and commendable attitudes. It was founded to stimulate effort, re- ward achievement, and encourage its members to continue their education after high school. The Senior Beta Club is an organization for Juniors and Seniors that tries to promote the ideals of honesty, service, and leadership among high school students. The officers of the Cook High Senior Beta Club for 1981-82 were Dean Rewis. President; Phyllis Hill, Vice-President; Regina Gibbs. Secretary; and Rocky Holt. Treasurer.

JR. BETA The Cook High Junior Beta Club is a leadership service club for students in the freshman and sophomore classes who maintain high academic averages. Membership therein signifies that the student has been designated by the high school authorities as worthy of special recognition because of outstanding at- tainment and promise.
