MRS. GENE E. DAUGHERTY, B.S. Attended Hinds Junior College and graduated from Delta State Teachers College. She has taught for seven years and is now an instructor in health and science. NIR. ALEX FITCH. BS. His hobby of photography led to an extracurricular job here as annual pho- tographer. He has taught for thirteen years. following his graduation from Georgia Teachers College. He also at- tended Georgia Tech. Chemistry and physics are his meat. MRS, W'YA'l'T GRINIBIER. BS. A graduate of Troy State Teachers College. she teaches English and spons sors the local cheerleaders. Her two- year' teaching career began at Cook High. FROM THEIR KNOWLEDGE WE LEARN MR. .l. WYATT GRIMMER, B.S. After receiving his degree from Troy State Teachers College. Coach Grimmer came directly to Cook where he has taught for two and a half years. In addition to duties as basketball mentor and his work with junior football. he teaches business math. MRS. FRANK M. HUGHES, A.B. Did her college work at West Georgia College, the Atlanta Conservatory of Music, and University of Georgia. A teacher for nine years, she now teaches government and world history. As an outside job, she has coached students in declamation and acted as senior sponsor. MRS. JANE C. INGRAM. AB. Junior Hi-Y sponsor and English teacher at Cook. Mrs, Ingram attended Queen's College and graduated from Birmingham-Southern. She has taught for nine years. MR. LINTON JORDAN. BS.. NIA. In the U. S. Infantry for two years. he has taught for five years. Since his graduation from the llniversity of Ala- bama. he earned a graduate degree at Peabody and acts as athletic director and head grid coach at Cook. MRS. A. ll. MASHBURN. B.S. Attended GSCW. University of Geor- gia. and has done graduate work at Mercer. A teacher of reading and Georgia history here. she has 20 years' experience. MRS. J. l. MUSSELWHITE. BS. Took over as librarian here in Oc- tober of this year. She studied at GSCW. She sponsors the Library Science Club.

In Air Force years. he has taught for 16 years. MRS. SARAH BRANDON. B.S.. BLA. Math teacher, she received her degrees from Joyce Peabody College. A teacher for 38 years, she has worked in Tennessee. Mary- land. Georgia and Florida. SIR. TURNER F. BYRD. A.B. Attended Georgia Southwestern, Armstrong, YSC. Georgia Teachers. and graduated from Mercer. He has almost completed his Mas- ter's at I SI'. OWENS. R.S.. MA. Graduated from Eastern Kentucky State College and served in the Army for three years. In the profession for nine years. he coaches. teaches physical education and health. MISS FLORRYE PARRISH. B.S. Attended the University of Georgia and Bowling Green College of Com- merce. she has behind her a 35-year career in the teaching of commercial courses. As senior sponsor this year. she has also directed many other ac- tivities in the past. MISS MARY PARRISH, B.S. Attended GSCW. the University of Georgia and Valdosta State. She teaches eighth grade math and has been in the profession for more than thirty years. MRS. W. C. PATTERSON. A,B.. M.Ed. Geometry and Latin keep her busy at Cook. She attended Valparaiso Uni- versity in Indiana. the University of Georgia, and Brenau. She got her Master's degree at Emory. She spon- sors the Beta Club and has taught for 35 years. 5 . J 3. Lg. Coach Jordan is really preparing an excavation for the fuel tank which will be used to heat the gym.
