Philippines Philippines, an independent island nation on an archipelago of over 7100 tropical islands. Our visit centered in Subic Bay and Olongapo. Summer monsoons greeted us on our first visit; all drenching thunder showers and occassional glimps of the intense tropic sun added an exotic appeal to an already growing anticipation and excitement over the first port of call.
