EQ M CLASS SONG fTo the tune of May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You , Graduation day has come now, And we all must bid adieu To our-friends and to our teachers We will all miss you. We'll recall our Alma Mater In the new path that we trod, For our future lies awaiting In the hands of God. May we long recall the memories Of those unforgotten years, And we'll bravely face the future Without troubles, without fears. As we go into the future With Success Our Destiny, We will always cherish highly, Our schoolday memories. Marie Miller julia Nodich Helen Potochney Clair of '52 CLASS POEM Clothed in darkness and in mist, An awe inspiring sight, The land in stillness lies, And as we travel onward To wait the dawn of morning, We think of days gone by, And the sun up in the skies. And cherish loving memories But faintly, slowly, rising in That we know will never die, The early hours of morn. Of teachers dear whose guidance Have helped us on our way, And taught us priceless knowledge That we can ne'er repay. Though the road be stony, And hard the way we choose, The aim of Con-Cen High School days Will for-ever with us stay. The sun at last awakens And a new day for all is born. So we, as Seniors, Progressing On Life's adventurous way, Have reached the dawn of parting For we know- we cannot stay. The sun is just arising and The earth is filled with light, By Shirley Wills Before us lies a new world, Clay: of '52 CLASS MOTTO Succeu If Our Dertiny CLASS FLOWER Yellow tea rose CLASS COLORS Green and Gold Oct. 22, 1948 Nov. 2, 1 948 ....... sept. 26, 1949 Oct. 4, 1949 ........ To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth. To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the training of the child. To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for every child the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual edu- cation. THE PRESIDENTS MESSAGE When the child's time is sharply divided between home and school, it is reasonable to assume that the parents who are responsible for the home, should have close ties with the teachers whose responsibility is in the school. A common ground for this expected cooperation and mutual understanding may be found in the P.T.A. It provides an op- portunity for an informal get-together to discuss problems that are common to those whose duty is supreme in the home and those whose professional training and experience serve in the school. Since both parents and teachers have a share in moulding our future citizens, ,ideas may be exchanged on any common problem dealing with the child. An example could be pooling knowledge on how to best make use of facilities in the school district. When this Pupil-Parent-Teacher relationship is multiplied many times as is evidenced in a membership of over six and one-half million, we can visualize that active local Parent- Teacher Associations can make contributions with results that are nation-wide in scope. Sensing the need of such an organization in our district, a few interested people formed the nucleus, and in May 1951, elected the first officers of The Conyngham-Centralia Parent-Teachers Association which now comprises twenty seven members.
