Foreword The nautical theme of the 1941 Coniad was aptly chosen. Maine can be justly proud of its famous clipper ships that once rulecl the trade routes of the world. One has only to look at the sailor and anchor State of Maine Seal to note the influence of the sea in the past on the lives of Maine people. The present reminds us that broad oceans form our first line of defense, for which some sons of Cony have enlisted in the United States Navy. ln this year's hook we have tried to bring to light the story of the graduating Class -to show the activities, the achievements, and the hopes of the Class of 1941.
