Math Club Has Good First Year The Math Club is another new club at Conway High School. lt is sponsored by Mr. Dewitt. a very keen math teacher. This club was formed so that students with an interest in math could get together and try to understand math a little better. We are fully confi- dent that they will get to subtraction next year! The Student Council began meeting at l:00 a.m. on .lune 24 when we began our trip to Boston for the NASC' Con- vention at Marlborough High School. We stopped in Washington to sightsee and then on to Marlborough to learn new ideas and meet new people. Then on to tour New York. We did have the chance to meet Son of Sam. but he was scared of our mascot Terrie Friday. We wearily returned at 9:00 a.m. on July 2. We have had a busy year sponsoring dances. the door decorating and food baskets at Christmts. the Valentine mailbox. a blood dri e. Spirit Day. two Spirit weeks. a Faculty-Student basket- ball game. and the Student Store. Of course. we don't know what the future holds. but hopefully we can also spon- sor movies. and possibly a concert.
