Hard Worlzing Cheerleaders Show Tiger Spirit The 1977-78 varsity cheerleaders. chosen by judges only. began the year by selecting new winter uniforms. The cheerleaders put in a lot of hard hours during the summer preparing for the football season. They helped out with football camp by feeding the football players. The beginning of football sea- son brought Thursday night banner painting. Mrs. Kicklighter just loved her multi-colored carport. All of the hard work resulted with Saturday morning sore throats. Will any of the girls forget the trip to T. L. Hanna? What about the midnight ride to Georgia? A Thanks. Doris! The Par- ent's Night reception was a success with the help of the J.V. cheerleaders. Homecoming was quite exciting since the queen and two of the court wore green and gold uniforms. Then came basketball season and that unforgetta- ble pep rallyf' The cheerleaders did a lot to promote the spirit of all of the teams that they cheered for during the year. Wait a minute. guys! The cute one with brown eyes is Doris Hedge- path. the sponsor. Many thanks go to her for all of her help. But most of all. thanks to each cheerleader! .1 I Cheerleaders put up a banner in the gym. . V. Cheerleaders Boost Spirit The Conway J.V. cheerleaders have really boosted the spirit of the teams they cheered for this year. One of the main reasons for cheering is to get the fans involved. and we have to admit they have succeeded in doing that! The girls are a group of hard workers that do not mind putting forth the effort. Oh yes! Let us not forget the times coming back from away games on the bus. They were really filled with spirit and enthusi- asm. All in all, the cheerleaders were spirited and kept the spirit going. The squad consisted of nine girls and two mas- cots. The cheerleaders were: Macie Cox, Lisa Rhue. Eva Wood. Terrie .Io Singleton.iStephanie Dewitt, Gwen Courtney. Scarlet Sanders. Mic- helle Dewitt. and Megan Micheal.
