Senior Class History ln September 1940, the class of 1952 started their journey of twelve years through Convoy School, Our class was composed of forty- two pupils and Miss Catherine Dean was our teacher, , We passed from grade to grade with Mrs, Norma Carey, Mrs, Helen Smith, Mrs, Mary Meyer, Mrs, Rema Mohr, and Miss Jessie Driver as our teachers, We entered Junior High in 1946, Besides finding a lot of hard work to do, we found that we were breaking into the social life of the school, Our Junior High class parties was a trip to the Toledo Zoo, a skating party at the Y, W, C, A, in Van Wert, and a party at Bluffton State Park, Our Junior High teachers were Mrs, Charlotte Stose and Mr, J, C, Edwards, We were welcomed into high school by the Sophomores, We en- joyed a hayride and wiener roast and a party at the home of Rose Marie Scaer, Our sponsor was Mr, Dwight Smith, During our Sophomore year we welcomed the Freshmen into high School and had a pot luck supper and skating party, We sold house numbers and mail box signs to make money, Donna Slane was chosen May Queen for the annual Spring Band Concert, Our class sponsor was Mr, Charles B. Brown, Our Junior year was of great irnportance, First we chose our class rings, We alternated serving basketball concessions with the Seniors, Our most irnportant event of the Junior year was the Junior- Senior Prom, Our setting was Lure of the Wood1and , Shirleyanne McDaniel was elected for May Queen, Our sponsor was Mr, Hebb, ln September, with a loss of three Juniors, we entered our Senior year with twenty-three in our class, We are trying to make money for our Senior trip, In trying to make money, we had a skating party at Bell's Rink in the fall of our Senior year, We also had a few bake sales which added greatly to our treasury, ln the spring we had a Carnival in which all the grades in the school participated with their different stunts, This proved to be quite a success, too. Since this was our big year, we all worked hard on our activities, We realized that this was our last year together, and therefore we undertook our responsibilities with great anticipation of graduation, We are looking forward to Baccalaureate, Commencement, and Senior class trip to Washington, D.
