PRINClPAL'S MESSAGE This graduating class, the first from Contoocook Valley Regional High School, has had the most difficult assignment of all the classes. Having spent three years building loyalties and friendships in another school, they realized in their junior year that they would 'have to null up roots and spend their last year in a new environment. The promise of Contoocook Valley Regional High School they knew would not be realized during their stay here, but they have hoped for better times than they had known. In the new school, with much of the atmosphere the same as school had always been, some felt somehow that they had been forgotten in the name of progress, It took a while, but soon reports from teachers told what a terrific group this class is. One teacher said I really feel that these people are my equals. They're sincere, honest, and con- cernedg they care a great deal about their school, their friends, their teachers, their whole world. In short, where an example of concern needed to be shown, the Seniors showed it. Many of them have younger brothers and sisters who they know will reap the benefits which will come after this class has graduated. It is to their credit that the Class of 1971 has performed well.
