Led by their co-captains Bill Bishop and Tod Silegy, the Cougars stunned their first nine opponents with decisive victories. Along with the strength of their big man, Dick Blood, - the quickness of Paul Boule and the overall fine play of Jeff Wheeler, the Cougars came up with a formula that proved un- beatable. However, their hopes suffered a major setback when Bill Bishop ended his high school career with a serious knee injury. After regrouping and putting his bench to work, Coach Richard let his reserves prove themselves. After losing four of their next six games, the Cougars went on to win their final five, losing only to Goffstown at the state tournament in Durham.
