They flee past, hoping to escape The magnetic possessiveness of Master Time, But the sticky, love-hungry fingers of Time Are Luisurpassable. Tears are shed from forlorn eyes Whipped by his child-like loneliness. He 's an empty machine - Attempting to fill his cavity With parts from a flesh world. Jesus Christ was at the corner With a tin cup and dark glasses Jesse James was in the store Having frm with people with strokes of his pen. E The devil was at city hall Signing souls to a 1rip to the garden. There was a Ku Klux Klan meeting today And people with black robes were everywhere. Martin Luther King was there Next to Jack the Ripper and President Nixon. Matt K3l'1'13.Ik Bill Gaw Intricately built sandcastles and dreams grow from the flat wastelands of sand. Gingerly-working hands tend the walls and protect them from the jealous iide. Fingers poke gentle holes for windows and passageways to the heart 's desire. Soft-rounded legs run to the shore to fill pails with water and two clenched fists lug it back again. Behind the great shell verranda, a salty face lined with time holds a dream while his hands continue to burrow a most against the rising tide.
