The theme of Countdown '85 helped the staff tell the events that happened throughout the year counting down to graduation. Organizing a yearbook takes time and much energy but it is a very rewarding experience when the final product is viewed. 13 Hands On Training Each year the Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to go to Vantage Vocational School where they learn their career through practical experience. This year there are 17 Seniors and 22 Juniors attending Vantage. 14 mm Joyce Marie Bradley Kevin D. Kranham Kevin D. Cantrell Zeresa MaryAnn Cross Mrian O. Davis No Photo Available 19 Zliontas £. He will live in the hearts of the friends he made and be known always for the foundation he laid. Because Goodness and Fairness never die — they go shining on like sun in the sky, so his gallant soul has taken flight into a land where there is no night. Panels of Juniors and Seniors debated each other on the pros and cons of each candidate and the issues. He was seen by Peter and later by the rest of the Twelve. After that he was seen by more than 500 Christians at one tune . it is this Good Hews William D. (Bill) Hanefeld Sr. As we come to the end of another year, we see the retirement of three more of our friends. During their time here they have helped our school become an excellent one. Hulda Turner was the Treasurer at Continental High School for 15 years, Ruth Spencer has helped cook our lunches for 7 Vi years, and Genevieve Wachtman taught Intermediate Developmental Handicapped for 17 Vt here at CHS. We would like to thank each of these people for their hard work. U e will all miss them very much! As we come to the end of another year, the officers and staff of the Pirate 85 would like to look back and express our sincere thanks to our Advisor, Miss Jenny von der Embse, to Mr. Lou Seddelmeyer, Jos ten's Yearbook Company Rep., to Powell Studios and to our Advertisers and Boosters, without whom this book wouldn’t have been possible. This book is especially important to the Seniors. We hope it clearly reflects the triumphs, failures, friendships, and good times we've shared throughout the year. Our book took a lot of hard work and dedication, but we feel the members of our staff did an excellent job. We hope you enjoyed viewing this book as much as we did putting it together! 0 m wm FT 3K . • .. • 1 4 V r • •- v - • .. “ : . ■t ...
