In Memoriam Twila Bidlack, 18, was born on January 5, 1941. She lived all her life in Continental and attended Continental—Palmer High School. She was a member of the Continental Methodist Church, secretary of the Sunday School, and president of the Methodist Youth Fellowship. During her years in high school, Twila was a class officer every year and served very faithfully even during her illness. Among her many activities were Band, Pep Band, Glee Club, Mixed Ensemble, Senior Ensemble, Annual Staff, Pirate Press, Drama Club, Junior Class Play, Scholarship Team, and American Legion Essay Winner. Along with her many extra curricular activities, Twila maintained a superior average of straight A’s throughout her high school years, which would have given her the honor of being valedictorian. Twila was well-liked and admired by everyone. She was sincere in her words, thoughts, and deeds, and was truly outstanding in everything she did. Twila made friends easily, whether at home, in the hospital, or at social events. She was a perfect example of the saying “A friend in need, is a friend indeed”, as she was a friend to all. Twila passed away on January 22, 1959, but will always be remembered by all of us.
