Before Commencement, when our eyes will be set upon the future, let us look back upon the things we did together that brought us to this turning point. In October of 1960, as Sophomores, we met for the first time as a class. Under the able supervision of Miss Dorothy Crossmore, we elected our class officers - James Squire, President; Albert Omar, Vice-President; Maria DiDonato, Secretary; and John De-Palma, Treasurer. As an organized group, our first major project was the annual Sophomore Dance which was to be held in May. With the help of silver paint and blue lights, the decorating committee carried out our theme of Twilight Time. Rainy weather did not seem to keep anyone home the night of the dance. In September of 1961, witn Miss Dorothy Crossmore as our advisor, we again started off the year with the election of class officers. Joseph Cermanski was elected President; James Squire, Vice-President; Christina Sibole, Secretary; and JohnDePalma, Treasurer. Our skill as salesmen was tested by the sale of Christmas cards to boost our treasury. In the meantime a ring committee was at work. Will we ever forget how proudly we displayed our shiny new rings to the others around us when they finally arrived in March ? After the excitement of receiving our class rings was over, examinations again loomed in the future; but somehow we managed to struggle through them to assume finally the role of seniors. In the fall of 1962, with Miss Dorothy Crossmore and Mrs. Katherine Lorenz serving as our advisors, we elected class officers for the last time. The results of the election were: James Squire, President; Joseph Cermanski, Vice- President; Bethanne Bailey, Secretary; and David Spence, Treasurer. As our last two projects to raise money for our yearbook which was already underway, we sold magazine subscriptions and candy. We were experienced by now. On May 3, the Senior Play, Mr. Barry's Etchings, was presented in the high school auditorium. All of us are sure to remember always the excellent performance John De-Palma gave as Mr. Barry, the man who made fifty dollar bills. The following week marked the Sophomore Dance, Mardi Gras, where Bethanne Bailey and James Squire were crowned queen and king of Conshohocken High School. In the meantime a skillful prom committee was busily preparing decorations for our prom, Hawaiian Luau, which was to be held on May 17. The committee did a wonderful job of transforming the Grade School Auditorium into an island paradise. Immediately following the prom, we were entertained by the high school P.T.A. at the Post-Prom Party. With the remaining days of school slowly lessening, excitement mounted as we eagerly awaited our graduation. But, before graduation came exams which we were all relieved to leave behind us. And here we are on May 29 gathered for Class Day, highlighted by the reading of the Class History, Will, Prophecy, and Who's Who. On June 2, we shall attend the Baccalaureate Service, and on June 7 we shall be brought together for the last time as a group when we shall receive our diplomas during Commencement Exercises. Now each of us must go his own way in search of happiness and success. No matter what way we may choose to go, we shall confidently, remembering with gratitude the kindness of so many which has guided and molded us into the Class of 1963. 78 PATRONS Mrs. Oliver M.
