S AGES OF PRODUCTIO Production of Citizenship Off to a Days Activity The Potential Product The Finished Product Better Citizens of Tomorrow 5I Not so long ago we were just beglnning our hlgh school years ln September 1953 with Mrs Layfleld and Mlss Nelson as advlsers we began our class act1v1t1es At officer election l ee Allan was glven the honor of presldent Selected to assist were Beverly Linger vice president Lonstflnce Palermo secretary and l ewis Wolfe treasurer Al though stud1es required much time manv excelled in extra currlcular act1v1t1es includmg class sales Fall sl1d into winter and suddenly we found ourselves verv spring feverlsh Amid flowers and warm weather the theme May Mist was chosen for the sophomore dance If anything could be read inthe smlles of happy people the dance was truly success ful ln June we left behind a full vear one not soon to be forgotten In September 1956 we were impatient to enjoy the prlvlleges of juniors Lee Allan Beverly Lmger and Lonstance Palermo continued as presldent v1ce president and secre tary respectively Maurice Moore was chosen 'ls treasurer One morning In March we reeelved our precious class rlngs Eleven years ant1c1pat1on was cllmaxed in one glorlous moment Our rings to us were the most beautiful in the world As the year wore on varlous projcc ts bec mme problems of the past We closed the year wlth a pleasant memory to be cherished Summer glxdcd on and we found ourselves 1n the coveted roles of seniors Offlcers chosen were Nlichael Pettlne prcsldent Beverly finger vice presilent Mary Ann Gig l1ott1 secretary and V1rg1n1a Magee treasurer After a most successful magazine drxve time raced swiftlv onward The selected yearbook staff worked diligently The Music Festlval on April 18 was most successful On May 3 the senior play was well recelved The Gym Show on May 9 delighted the audlence Shower of Stars was selected as the prom theme Mere words cannot express the beauty of the nlght of May 16 so let each of us who attended keep the memory always in our hearts The Athletic Department banquet on May 20 was hlghllghted by the presentatlon of awards Class Day exercises whlch 1n eluded an original skit were held on Mav 28 Baccalaureate Service was held on June 1 June 4 Lommencement marked the endmg of one of the most lmportant phases of our lives and too the beglnnlng of another phase as each went forward to contmue to write God willing the history of his ovn l1fe o a a 0 4 o o , . a o o 4 , s Q Q 1 1 s - a o - n . , .
