Suninrs CLASS OFFICERS John Manzi President George Isaacson Vice President Rita Bonusiewicz Secretary Nicholas I rasatto Treasurer Class History In the year of Our Lord nineteen hundred forty- three our educational career began. As Freshmen we seemed to make continuous mistakes and were always underfoot, much to the amusement of the upper classmen. Experience is a wise teacher, and so we became more confident and self-assuring as we entered our Sophomore year. I lere we became more ac- tive. were given more responsibility and felt as though we were a cog in a wheel of production. Now we wanted to go forth, to serve with our predecessors. Success was inevitable. In our Junior year capable persons had to he elected to guide the class through its two most important years. John Manzi came forth to serve as President. His assistant as Vice President was George Isaacson. Financial accounts were en- trusted to Nicholas I rasatto and correspondence was kept by Rita Bonusiewicz. Under the ben- evolent guidance of Mrs. Natalie P. Nic hols, our financial status inc reased. Our activities included the sale of refreshments at football games, sale of Christmas Cards. Skat- ing and Movie Benefits, a cold supper, and a Junior Prom. In February of our Junior year we received our class rings and were very proud on this occasion. In the fall we returned to school as Seniors and bent our efforts to selling sub- scriptions to magazines, a spaghetti supper and the all-hilarious Senior Class Play. The class worked very hard to obtain money for tlie class trip to the Nation s capital, since the annual trip was discontinued during the war. Those three days will live with us through all eternity. We returned to school filled with vigor to prepare for graduation. During the warm days of early June we had our prom with the Juniors as our guests. Class day followed when parents and friends were invited to listen to the prophesy- ing and willing of talents from Seniors to Juniors. Dressed in our caps and gowns in the audi- torium. Sunday night was marked for Baccalaure- ate Service. And then at last—graduation night. For four years we worked hard to be present on that occasion. Speeches were made, prizes awarded, we were happy; and yet within us was an empty feeling, for we were leaving our high school. Sixteen
