The Juniors plunged head first into their busiest year of high school with ANTICIPATION A s the summer came to a close, and school reopened, the juniors were ready to take on the new year, full speed ahead. By this time everyone had their drivers license, and the dating game was well underway. Class rings were bought and spirit was proudly displayed when they won the top sales in the McCuUough-Conroe spirit chain contest for the third year in a row. The junior girls were invited to play in a friendly game of foot- ball with the senior girls. Later in the year the juniors started their magazine sale to raise money for prom. As the year slowly came to a close, the juniors were proud of the year they ' d survived, and the memories that they ' d made. LANCE REYNOLDS, Brandt Dozier, Tim Kelley, Greg Burkes, and John Wingate show they are 1. KIM COVARRUBIAS practices her magazine sale techniques on Rusty Dovell. 26 Juniors

What About Those SENIORS? Everyone who descended those steps had plans for the future. As the summer of ' 83 brought us into our seniorhood, it brought along with it many decisions and new responsibilities. Senior pictures, football season, and spirit filled pep-rallies marked the beginning of the 1983-84 school year. For the seniors of 1984, this would be the last year before ven- turing out, entering college, and living a new lifestyle. Most of the worries of the seniors were focused on such things as What college will I attend. , Will I score high enough on the S.A.T. and A.C.T. tests.- , and I hope I get some scholarships. Before anyone realized, the time had come to order caps, gowns, and graduation invitations. When 1983 was seen out, the new year began and with it came the annual Senior Blood Drive and the long awaited senior skip day. At the graduation ceremony all of the seniors were seated, cloaked in golden fabric, eagerly awaiting the announcing of their names. Each in turn would march upon the plat- form and then off, but to what. ' Some would attend- coUege. some would get a full time employment, and some would get married. Everyone who descended those steps had plans for the future, even if it was just plans for tomorrow. TIFF, it ' s you! FINALLY, we got the stick! Seniors • 25
