' is heard before every football game and pep rally, and the strains ol 1 , blare out after every touchdown. Football players crash through sign.. ,,.... ,,,,, claim their might: liie band and Golden Girls highlight the halftime with their perfect performances that haye been polished for weeks. Spirited pep rallies are held to cheer the Tigers on to victory, and the battle for the sjMrit stick heightens the enthusiasm even more. The girls pull on the pads and helments and let the boys provide the entertain- ment in the annual Powder Puff football game. Freshrnen are initiated into the high school world, sophomores are just glad to have their own place in the gym, juniors hold their magazine sale, and the seniors hold one of the nation ' s largest blood drives. A homecoming queen is crowned and the Coronation king and queen lake their royal walk down the runway. These are the traditions that make up Conroe High. Some date back to the early days of CHS, while others have been added through the years as both size and spirit increased. These deep- rooted traditions give CHS its flaming prid : ' i t - - assurance that its spirit will never die. Opening ■»
