owned l98l Queen of the FLARE by escort Williams, Linda Leming takes the tradi- al walk down the runway for the audience to mire. Amidst a setting of Moonlight and Roses, Coronation 1981 welcomed the crowning of a new Queen of the FLARE. Representing the Drama Club, Linda Leming was awarded the honor by escort King Ross Williams. In a more complete atmosphere, six new clubs entered candidates to bring the total participation to 42 royal courts. Serving as a long-time favorite Master of Ceremonies was Mr. Glenn Winn, and ooordinator of the entire event was FLARE sponsor, Mrs. Gloria Traylor. The audience enjoyed a combination of talents from Angela Meyer's Academy of Dance, with musical entertainment by Garrett and Hayden Braun Performing the Royal Ballet for the new Queen was Gina Stockton from Karen s Dance Unlimited and rounding out the even ing of excitement Troubador John White sang his Serenade to the Queen, Lady Immediately follow mg was a reception for all participants where students danced and breathed an exhausted sigh of rellef for the clos ing of another memorable Coronation Gracing a beautifully-set stage are 42 anxious candidates.
