DEDICATION Come on now, kids, lets get to work. Familiar words such as these mentioned, and others like them, can be heard issuing from the chemistry lab during any typical day at C.H.S. These familiar words are spoken by a well-known man. Yet how much about this man do we really knoW Born on February 18, 1905, in Rockford, Illinois, he graduated from Rockford High School in 1923. All of us are acquainted with the fact that he attended and graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York, and later served with the Army Ground Forces. After receiving his Master of Education degree in Educa- tion Administration at the University of Texas in 1945, this interesting person became a teacher of mathematics at Texas Military Institute in San Antonio and later superintendent of an American school in Monterrey, Mexico. For the past sev- eral years Conroe High School has been privileged to have this man as a teacher of math and science. Because he makes us realize the necessity for alertness, because of his great ability as a teacher, because of our in- debtedness to him, and because his courses present such a challenge to us, we dedicate the 1960 Flare to - ROY V. KEYES
