After much excitement the favorite contest has closed and the school and the meat ma1'ket have returned to normal. It was rumored for a while that Frances Necco and Margaret Chisolm were interested in a pipe line passing through here. Through Mr. Anderson's influence, however, they seem to have lost all interest in it. A leap year party was given by the high school this year and the name of every student posted on the bulletin board. Sidney Leigh was horror stricken at the possibility of being asked for a date and cut his name from the list. In assembly the following morning, however, he was persuaded to replace it by recopying the entire list of names. A very interesting investigation is being conducted in high school to learn the identity of one Isaac Bickerstaff, who is using the mails to defraud. Alyma Cable and Dan Madeley are employed in the case and as we go to the press they are quite sure that the guilty person often comes to the English IV class. Philip Detro, with the help of Julian Driscoll and his grand- mother's Ford, tried to reproduce the famous Ben Hui , chariot scene recently on the campus and according to reports was Very successful. Upon calling the roll at the Senior Day picnic we found that Louis Addison and Jewell Drace were not present. We asked no questions, however, as the whole thing was an April Fool affair. For some reason, not made public, Mr. Anderson has adopted a policy of not going to weddings on April Fool's Day. O If 'Z' 9 1 3. OZ?
