r-.i?'i.h.'lS' SENIOR OFFICERS: Donald Barron - treasurer, Pasty I-Iertzog - secretary, Pete Geiss A vice-president, lack Kuhn - president As with the senior classes who have gone before us, not only will we be remembered for some of our ac- complishments, but also there are memories we our- selves would not like to forget. In seventh grade we learned to know each other. The winter was filled with the excitement of our bas- ketball wins Ied by those revered seniors Bob Wertz, jerry Rabold, and Scott Burkhart. Our eighth grade year was rather uneventful. In the middle of the year was the student council election with Bruce David Snyder emerging victorious as junior high vice-president. The biggest thrill of the year came with our class trip to Philadelphia on chartered buses. In ninth grade we began to show we did have tal- ent. This was proved in our successful musical, SO THIS IS PARIS, with Karen Riegel and Brad Classmoyer play- ing the lead roles. Later in the year several members of our class represented our school in junior high county chorus. Tenth grade showed no outstanding accomplish- ments, but a few athletic stars began to emerge, lack Kuhn and lake Zerbe in basketball and Bob Yiengst in track and cross country. The beginning of our junior year brought something new. Football made its first appearance at Weiser, The first season proved so successful that the next year we entered into varsity competition. The 1968-69 basket- ball season will be hard to forget. With the loss of our star, lack Kuhn, our team proved its skill in the district plays-offs with the abilities of the other members of the basketball team. Our scholastic ability was dis- played by the admittance of members of our class to the National Honor Society and by Nancy Ulrich, who is a semi-finalist in the National Merit Scholarship pro- gram. The last effort put forth by our class as juniors was the 1969 Prom, Memorable Moments. Our last year has so far been proving to be the best. Suzie Knoll represented our school well in her per- formance as Conrad Weiser's junior miss. Homeroom H-4 broke the record for PSB sales, reaching a total of close to 5600. This year brought one of the finest hockey teams Weiser ever produced with many mem- bers ofthe team being seniors. Conrad Weiser will be represented again in district band, chorus, and orches- tra by students from Weiser, five of them being se- niors. Gary Luckenbill has brought credit to our school in the music department by representing Weiser in at least 14 county, district, and region festivals. The cast of the successful drama club play, TOM IONES was com- prised mainly of seniors with Kevin Kershner and jane Eshbach playing the parts of Tom jones and Sophia Western. Bobby Yiengst made Weiser known when he placed second in the cross country state meet. At pres- ent the senior class of 1970 is working to make this year's Christmas dance, The Magic of Silver Bells, the best Weiser has ever seen.
