Cheers went up as basket after basket was made and the score mounted. We came home victorious! Under the able coaching of Mr. John Berriman, our team enjoyed an exciting season. They ended in a tie with Governor Mifflin for fourth place. One of our more exciting games was played against West Readnig on our court. We lagged up until the final quarter. Then, in a brilliant display of teamwork, our Scouts brought the score up to a two point lag. We held our own, but in the end the score was ten points in favor of the Cowboys. Another crucial game occurred with Gov. Mifflin on their court. The teams were well-matched, and with 20 seconds to play the score read S6-56. Then - Tom Wolfe got the ball! He streaked down the floor, as spectators screamed. The next minute he was prostrate, stopped by a Mustang player. The decision - Tom received two fouls, sinking both for a two point victory. Playing their last season were Tom Wolfe, john Burd, Paul Moyer, Steve Shartle, and John Root. Tom brought honor to Weiser by finishing as the player with the second highest number of individual points in the county. Below is a schedule of games played this season, and the scores.
