I Foreword As we travel o'er life's pathway we encounter many experiences we would like to relive, countless foot- steps we would like to retrace. We, too, have enioyed many rich moments during our school days in Conrad Weiser. ln the following pages we have tried to capture some of these cherished moments, which we shall want to remember for many years to come. The theme of this year's Weicon is Toiling Hands. In the upper left-hand corner we see the tiny hands of a kindergarten pupil, just beginning to break through the surface of education. These little hands will be toiling more and more as the years progress, forever encountering and overcoming new and varied duties, and, as they grow in physical strength, they will enrich the life of the one to whom they belong, To this young student we wish much success in the years that lie ahead. Pictured in the bottom right-hand corner are the hands of a Senior. These hands have been toiling, day in and day out, through life's long years of schooling. These hands are almost ready to reach for a high school diploma. That, however, will not mean the end of their toiling, They have gained for their owner certain fundamental principles, they have been given slight pushes once in a while to attain their goal, but now upon them alone will depend success or failure in a different and difficult world. We see now that the hands of the Senior and the hands of our little friend have a close relationship, a similar duty to perform. The one pair will be toiling endlessly throughout many school years, laying the groundwork for future success. The more nurtured pair of hands have successfully built this foundation, now they will be engaged in the much more intricate and difficult task of building a successful life. Will they be able to leave their mark of distinction on the ever-changing pages of history? We of the Weicon staff sin- cerely hope so. God's speed to all of you!! 2
