DEDICATION Within the pages of this yearbook we want to present to you a glimpse of the students life and education at the Conrad Weiser Area Schools. This yearbook marks the beginning ofa new era for the educa- tion ofthe boys and girls of seven communities, Marion, Womelsdorf, Robesonia, Heidelberg, North Neidelberg, South Heidelberg and Wernersville. This is the first year that all of these school operated as one unit. We the class of '56 have concluded our school lite this first year of the completed iointure. We have proceeded under changes, and some handicaps in order that the future students of Conrad Weiser might have a better education. We would like to see the future stu- dents of the iointure get the best possible education, because the stu- dents ot today are the citizens of tomorrow. EDUCATION IS THE ARCHITECTURE OF TOMORROW. This thought is the theme of our Weicon for '56. May these pages regain many pleasant memories of the years spent at the Conrad Weiser Area Schools. We, the class of l956, dedicate the Weicon to you, the future students of Conrad Weiser. We do so with mixed emotions. That we could not enjoy the excellent facilities that will be yours when the new Conrad Weiser High School occupies this site makes us a little regret' ful. Yet we are proud in the knowledge that we are pioneers in the movement that has united Western Berks tor better educational op- portunities and happy that you, the future students of Conrad Weiser, will reap the tull benefits of an educational program designed to pro- vide you with the latest and best in education in an up-to-date and well equipped plant. The Book of Proverbs teaches us this: l'Bring up a child in the way he shall go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. lt is our prayer that the building we envisage on this site will do lust that for you. 2
