M i s m m MMM imt , First Year Students Arrive for Training ConQUerorS Bible College was born in a miracle, and it continues to move forward as a miracle. In saying this we are not discounting the vision and work of godly men who, laboring with God, have made CBC what it is today. We are merely recognizing the fact that God has been sovereign in it all, and without Him we could not have witnessed the unfolding miracle of His grace and concern throughout these 25 years of CBC history. When Brother E. G. Moyer located the site on which CBC still functions, he probably did not visualize the value of the property rising to about 30 times its original price in these 25 years. And, as the school continues to move forward, we must still trust God for the mira- culous. Although we endeavor to exercise good judgment as His stewards, we still o ften find too much of (he month left at the end of our resources, and we must go to God in prayer and ask Him to help us meet the staff salaries and obligations. Then in little ways and big ways, He does the miraculous and we realize that He is concerned with what is going on at 10838 N. Lombard. Yes, there have been moments of anxiety and pressure, and the messengers of Satan have been present to buffet us as they have made their forecasts of defeat and death, but His grace has been sufficient and we can recount 25 years of God ' s faithfulness. And the miracles have not all been in the material provisions. Hundreds of young men and women who have studied and trained here have responded to the voice of God and are lab- oring in the farflung harvest fields. In the Northwest alone, thirty percent of the current pastors are alumni of CBC. Of the missionaries now under appointment by the UPC I, twenty-three were trained here. And I couldn ' t begin to tell of the miracles of transformed lives as a result of the work of the Holy Spirit in lives on the CBC campus. 5.3 vrfi V. Oln ' ' f u! And I couldn ' t begin to teil of the miracles of transfc lives as a result of the work of the Holy Spirit in iives on the CBC campus. iltfi Tdiar s emoi Step toward the Future As we view with thanksgiving our present graduating class of 31 seniors (the largest graduating class in the history of CBC), we feel that we are viewing another miracle. Only God could have brought many of these to this milestone of achievement. For some of them it has not only meant a heavy schedule of classes and assignments, but also holding down a job and maintaining a family as well. The test and measurement of any movement or institution still lies in the character pro- duced and the service rendered. It cannot be measured by impressive buildings, organization and statistics. One can be correct in doctrine, orthodox in belief, zealous in work, and yet be limited and warped because of a lack of a proper inner relationship with Jesus Christ. To be in God ' s will is far more important than to attain success measured by human standards. And this is really the philosophy by which CBC has operated through these 25 years. These prin- ciples we endeavor to implant in the thinking and lives of our students. And it is God who makes them a reality in the very innermost being of every student. A TREMENDOUS FUTURE lies ahead for Conquerors Bible College as we continue to build lives on the ETERNAL WORD OF GOD. Our purpose is not to build around human personali- ties or programs. We realize the necessity of the Holy Spirit working within the individual to accomplish His purpose and plan of molding us into the image of His Son. Our God-called teachers and our Bible-centered curriculum provide the positive influences that get the sincere student into His Word. The INNER MIRACLES of God ' s grace will continue to be wrought in the lives of those who have the heart of a disciple. Prestdent John E. Klemin V t: iiltMiill iit1il)ll i;i 1953-1958 •. This MISSIONS SEMINAR, designed to make missions realistic, was hosted by Missionary Wayne Nigh. The classes on the many aspects of missionary in- volvement exposed the seminar students to the true nature of foreign missions. The church services and tours provided a personal feel of the European culture. Between thirty and forty people participated in the seminar activities. These included President John Klemin and several students from CBC, friends from various areas of the Northwest and Alaska, as well as those from the European area. Mission- ary Tom O ' Daniel and his family came from Ghana, West Africa, to participate in the seminar and meet with friends from CBC, his alma mater. PAGE SPONSORED BY: Rev. Mrs. E. G. Not with men ' s lives like Dale ' s. I prefer to use the langTiage of the Scriptures, for in them we find the true meaning of his life and dedication. . . . HE IS PROFITABLE . . . , said the Apostle. Could more be said? Dale was my friend, classmate, ministerial colleage, and missionary fellow laborer. To think of him as being gone is unthinkable. Men of Dale ' s caliber and faith don ' t die, they live on! Yes, in hundreds of lives and ministries, for he has multiplied himself in others, and in so doing, lives on . . . through his sons, saints whom he pastored, converts of the mission field, and in the lives of others who had the joy of walking shoulder to shoulder with him. Yes ... he lives on. So our Lord chose to call our Brother to higher service. It must so be that the Lord Jesus is saying, ... bring me DALE BROWN ... HE IS PROFITABLE! MISSIONARY yWAYNE NIGH Dale Brown graduated from CBC in May, 1954, as a member of the pioneer graduating class. After twenty-four years of pastoral and mis- sionary service, he was promoted to glory while pioneering a Bible school in Guatemala, Central America. His son, Clayton, graduated from CBC in 1976 and now serves on its faculty. His second son, Carl, graduates with CBC ' s 25th Senior Class on June 10, 1978. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God: that God is a Spirit who can dwell within the human body (Acts 2:4, 2:38); that water baptism by immersion ac- cordmg to Matthew 28:19 and Acts 19:5, is the means by which we can apply the name of God to our lives; and that a life m the Spirit can be filled with Joy and Peace for all indiv- iduals who would receive it. . . .You are welcome to come wor- ship and study with us!
