IN DEDICATION ftev. § Jfos. C- 0- $ Jim COLLEGE PRESIDENT - 1968-1971 Life often seems confusing and befuddling at times because, as humans, we like to hold on to things we cherish and love, but we forget that in God ' s plan we must learn to lose as well as to keep. One song writer realizing this wrote, The things that I love and hold dear to my heart Are just borrowed; they ' re not mine at all. Jesus only let me use them. . . When Brother and Sister Yadon came to Conquerors we should have more clearly recognized that we were only borrowing them for awhile from God, because now it is hard to say goodbye. These two priceless individuals possess a personal magic, a special touch of kindness, a wealth of inner beauty, a record of golden faithfulness. They have unselfishly instilled and invested their humble but high ideals, their spirit of love, and their wealth of wisdom and homespun common sense into many young, eager lives. Brother Yadon who has given much service to the United Pentecostal Church organization as a whole has also been an invaluable asset to the college. He has helped to uphold the spiritual and academic standards, improve the facilites, and enlarge the reputation of Conquerors Bible College. With his practicality and down-to-earth attitude he has gained respect in the eyes of those who have studied at Conquerors as he has throughout the Pentecostal ranks. He has been assisted in his work by his faithful wife, Ruth. She has served God from the time she was a teenager, and has radiated many golden gleams into the wonderful glow of her husband ' s forty- some-year ministry. Together they have humbly carved an affectionate and endearing place in the hearts of CBC students and alumni. Now the call of another field of service beckons them, and they have again responded with a yes to the Lord ' s will. How can we in our little way say thank you to these people who have walked so tall before us ? To a man and his wife so respected and loved by us all, we salute you, Brother and Sister Haskell Yadon, with ENSIGN 1971.
