Agriculture: ur Basic Industr The department of college agriculture at CSC is directed by chairman R. A. Hodges. The programs offered can be either terminal or in the two-year pre- paratory category. The four main areas of study are in the fields of ag- riculture engineering, agriculture economies, agro- nomic sciences and animal sciences. Students learn to grade and judge livestock both on the hoof and dressed in the locker. Agriculture majors have the opportunity to work with animals on the college farm in programs like the one provided by the Connors Bull Test Center. This year 121 pure-bred sires of several breeds were on hand for the first 140 day test held during the school year. The sale of these test animals took place in February. A bmie-right: R. A. Business: Competence-Skill Francis Reed is the department head ofthe grow- ing school of business and secretarial sciences. The business section counts in its faculty Charles Powell, also federal programs director, and new instructor Evelyn Otev from the Bristow, Oklahoma area.
