J C Dean .r Greetm The 1958 Con-Rah! is a pictorial history of one year of your life at Connors. I hope you will always- be able to remember this year with pleasure. In this fast-changing world of ours, great chal- lenges lie ahead of us. We can best meet these chal- lenges by securing a good education. We hope, of course, that each of you will spend the first two years of your college life at Connors. I should like to say to the Sophomores that I con- sider it a privilege to have had the opportunity of working with you during the past two years. I value your friendship and wish for you the best that life has to offer. And to the Freshmen-I am looking forward with pleasure to the 1958-S9 school year, hoping that each of you will be able to return to Connors and con- tinue your education. Sincerely yours, A. B. Childress Dean refzklentff Message Congratulations to the Con-Rah! staff for this school year's history. XVe owe a lot to those who have preserved this year's activities in picture and story. It has required a tremendous amount of time and effort, and we extend our thanks. Congratulations to the young men and women who have made up this year's student body. It has been good to have you on the campus. The faculty and the administration are privileged to have had the oppor- tunity to be of service to you. This is an important age in which we live, and one that should challenge the best there is in us, students and faculty alike. Our leadership in the free world is being challenged as never before, yes, even our own way of life. How well we meet that challenge now, and in the future, depends on how well each of us faces up to it. I hope that each has set for himself high goals for scholarship and cooperative living and has made good progress in his attainment. If, as you review this year's work, you can find that your college has helped you in attaining these goals, and in strengthening your faith in our way of life, we will have satisfaction with you. Congratulations to the graduating sophomores and a friendly invitation to the freshmen to return next year to study with us, and best wishes to all. Jacob Johnson President
