THE GIRLS TRIO has been very busy this year. Its members are Yvonne Stinnett, Jeannie Shamblin, and Jeanie Vann. These girls are all students in the voice department and each one is a soloist. They have appeared at the Sallisaw Lions Club, the Checotah Lions Club, The Muskogee Pilot Club, the teachers meeting at Okla- homa City, the Sallisaw area meeting for the lake project, and many other places. The Vocal Department has furnished soloists for many occas- ions. Jeannie Shamblin and Tom Ruck, have appeared in Oklahoma City at the teachers meeting, the Tulsa Soroptomist Club, the Mus- kogee AAUW, the Business and Professional Women's Club of Mus- kogee, and were auditioned by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Tulsa. They were also invited to audition for the Wichita Falls, Texas, sym- phony orchestra. The Glee Club has been asked to ive the concertized edition of the O era Carmen by Bizet in Vian E P 1 Sallisaw, Stigler, Eufaula, Checotah, Spiro, and Muskogee. Yvonne Stinnett, Jeannie Shamblin, Jeanie Vann, Rucker Blankenship, June Ballinger, and Tom Ruck are the soloists. Those taking part from the glee club are: Ruth Cole, Lavonna Cook, Dorothy Cornelius, Betty DeFoor, Rita Ford, Pat Goodner, Juanita Johnson, Bonnie Ledford, Doyle Reading, Bobby Schultz, Jack Treat, Jennifer Wells, Lena Mae White, and Torn Wood. Members of the Glee Club are: Jack Treat, J. R. Jacobs, Colonel Stites, Tom Ruck, Tom Wood, Dorothy Cornelius, Reba Turner, Bonnie Ledford, Nan Kennedy, Jeanie Vann, Louise Mills, Shirley Har- key, Virginia Scriba, Lenna Mae White, Jeannie Shamblin, Mary Jo Sparks, Lorene Wortham, Juanita Johnson, Yvonne Stinnett, June Ballinger, Alice Emerson, Wilma Rector, Ruth Cole, Jerry Anderson Ma- bray, Doris Archer, Jean Collings, Barbara Roork, Lavonna Cook, Wanda Williams, Pat Goodner, Coleta West.

nn if X wi me .KM THE DRAMATICS CLUB was re-organized in September, 1952, under the direction of the class instructor Libby Marshall. Melvin Short was chosen as President' Doris Archer, Secretary' Ruth Cole Treasurer' Delores Payne, Student Senate Representativeg and Virginia Scriba, Reporter. During the semester, six one-act plays were presented: Summer Comes to Diamond O with a male cast' Undertow with an all girl cast' More to Be Pitied than Scorned with a mixed cast' and Calamity Jane hilarious comedy. R p fn Klub THE COMMERCE CLUB of Connors State Agricultural College sponsored the Christmas Dance, which was held in the recreation hall. The staff includes editors, Earl Miller and Bob Crinerg business manager, Melvin Eakensg secretary, Charlene Edwards, and sponsor, Mrs. Helen B. Kline. - u 7, Besides publishing the Collegian, the journalism department presents Connors College Calling each Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. over radio station KMUS in Muskogee and sends publicity releases to area news- papers.
