When Laura Spaulding, shown below, had completed the student form she had no idea that she would be the sophomore selected from Conner to attend the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation State Leadership Seminar in Transylva- nia, Kentucky. The purpose of the seminar is to bring together a select group of distinguished leaders in busi- ness. science, government, edu- cation, and the professions and let the two interact.
