P.S.C. FRED FIELDS - HIS ARTISTIC ABILITY It is o kind of meditation. Maybe not for all of us, but, as Fred Fields says, It is easy to lose yourself in painting. What makes Fred special is that he sees things differently. He is an artist who works three to four hours a day on art, and usually with eight or nine paintings going at once. Fantasy, Adventure, and American Indi- an scenes are his favorite types of art. In the past several years, Fred has won many blue ribbons at the Boone County Fair for these works. Fred's dream is to design book covers, record jackets and illustrate different types of articles. He has a big head start toward his goal. In the future, don't be surprised if you glance at a book cover and notice the designer's name, Fred Fields.

 To be o high school football coach, it takes not only patience, but the ability to teach and make people understand, says football coach Dob Lewis. He began his coaching career In 1948 at Marysville, Ohio. In 1946,he coached at Wyom- ing In Cincinnati, and In 1977 he was offered a Job at Conner. It sounded good so I took It, he said. Coach Lewis says he likes it here at Conner because there is a good balance between aca- demics and athletics. Athletics are considered important and the kids are interested and want to excel. He also likes the very supportive ad- ministration. Just this year, he won his 250th game. He considers it a big accomplishment because he didn't think he'd ever get get that far when he started coaching. He says the team has im- proved, but they have their ups and downs with each season. Next year with six returning lettermen, he feels it will be a good year, espe- cially if they can get past the districts. In his spare time. Coach Lewis enjoys reading and playing golf. He also likes to watch other sports on T.V. Coach Lewis plans to continue coaching and teaching for the next two years. In the future, when he retires, he would like to travel and see the country.
