COLLETT'S LIQUOR STORE 816 U.S. 42 Florence, KY 41048 HONOR ROLL Being on the Honor Roll of Conner Senior High School plays a big part in a student's life. Each nine weeks many students strive to earn an A or D average so they may have their name printed on the schools honor roll and in the local newspaper. Very few students can achieve the grades which it takes to be on the All A” honor roll and most of these students ore the ones who take such complicated courses such as Calculus, Chemistry 2 and Trigonometry. We at Conner are very proud of those students for they give up much of their own time to keep up their grades. Even though the honor roll holds a long list of names each quarter of the grading period, the biggest list is during the second nine weeks. Each year free Red's tickets are given to those whose composite score adds up to an A or B average during the second nine weeks. This year A and B average students also received an Arby's and Frisch's coupon. Not only does achieving a high scholastic aver- age lead to being on the honor roll each year, it also leads to a better and more fulfilled future. FASHION FOR THE '80 s Fashion is defined os clothing or apparel according to Webster's Dictionary. But the students ot Conner seem to hove added o little more to the definition of fashion. Here, fashion is a sort of gome which everyone ploys. You ore always trying to keep your wardrobe updated with the newest styles, while pocking away any clothes that hove disappeared from the in” fashion list. One item, which will always be found on the in” fashion list is designer jeans. Colvin Klein and Jordache seem to be the most populor ot school, and once in o while, you'll find o few pairs of Sasson. The latest styles on the list which hove hit Conner really big ore the tuxedo look (block pants, o white blouse, ond o bow tie), mini skirts that come in every color, solid or striped, ond leg warmers, worn with o mini skirt or over your jeans. A visitor to Conner would witness oil of the 82-63 trends in clothing ot fashion con- scious Conner High.
