On Seprember 11, 1982, rhe Conner Bond rerurned afrer winning four rrophies or Barh Counry Comperirion. The rrophies were: Isr in rheir division, besr percussion overall, and rhe Grand Champion rrophy which srands eighr and one half feer rail, rhe lorgesr in rhe world. This rrophy musr be won rhree consecurive years before a school may claim ir as rheirs. Conner has won rhe comperirion five consecu- rive years, so rhey hove a permanenr rrophy and are rwo-rhirds of rhe way ro anorher The band also did very well in rhe Homilron, Ohio's Band-O-Ramo, where rhey compered againsr some of rhe besr bands around.
