Mu Alpha Theta — Mu Alpha Thera, a club • consisring of srudenrs wirh in- terest in mathematics, is spon- sored by Mr Stone j The purpose of Mu Alpha Thera is to moke members aware of areas in math that they don't study in high school, to show srudenrs ca- reer opportunities in the field of mathematics which may help inform members, who will major in math, that there are jobs which they may nor have known about is another purpose The club meets once a month to discuss math mat- ters and hear lectures on math subjects A Navy Nucle- ar Engineer gave a talk on Nuclear Power, and Mr Stone gave a lecture on topology The officers for Mu Alpha Thera ore President — Barry Martin, and Vice-President — Dale Larsen 1st Row: Donny Oblinger.
