Conner Senior High's drill reom consisred of 16 rolenred ond dedicored girls who per- form jazz, kick, ond pom pom routines during halftime at Conner basketball games. The Phyrhmetres, newly named by sponsor Nancy Wright, hove succeeded to do more this year than any drill ream in Conner history. For the first rime ever, drill reom girls arrended summer camp at Indiana University. On October 23, Rhyrhmerre officers compered at the Tay- lorerre Invirarionol and won the first trophy ever by a Con- ner drill ream. On November 20, the Phyrhmerres arrend- ed an All-American drill ream dinic where only the girls who had previously compered could qualify. The Phyrhmerres have worked hard on fund raising since July to provide dazzling new uniforms for the squad. They sponsored the Punk Pock Sock Hop , worked booths at the Lion's Carnival and Doone County fair, had drawings for on Atari game ond jacket, and hosted a Sweetheart Dance in Febru- ary Front (L to R): Michelle Do vis.
