THE RUSSIANS While iti the Mediterranean, USS Connote encountered a Russian Battlegroup at anchor. Connote sailors eagerly rushed at the opportunity to stare the enemy in the eye and see his face. Men in blue suits strolled the decks of this Kara-class cruiser. Hon ever, as Connote sailed past this highly intpressive ship, Iter entire crew came to attention in a highly unusual display of Naval diplomacy.
