Students get taste of Shakespeare in the form of Julius Caesar and Macbeth . Jan. 27-Dual debate between Conncrsville and North Vernon ends with honors even. Feb. 6-Rushville wins from re' serves and holds the regulars. Feb, 9-Practice teachers arrive. Feb. 11-Junior boys monopolize class election. Feb. 16-Turner wins county ora- torical contest. Feb. 12-Lincoln is honored with special program. Flag ceremony learned by students. Feb. 19+Pres. Oxnam of DePauw names five ideals vital to making the world better. Feb. 23-27-Miss Rieman runs the school while superintendent and principal go to Detroit. Have you your note from home? Feb. 26-Seniors find out they are not to wear caps and gowns. Re- joicing and groans intermingle. March 3-Strut and Fret dances the night away. March 6-Hi-Y club gives dance for first time in its history. 1 March 6, 7-Spartans frolid through sectional. Students try to frolic into sectional. ' March 10-Clarion goes under. No more issues until the bank pays out. March 14-Disaster overtakes the Spartans at Rushville. March 19 - Music department shows its talent in The China Shop , March 20-Everybody h an g s around the study hall to hear state tourney results. March 24-Ten more seniors are called before assembly when Na- tional Honor Society announces elections. March 30-Honor society ban- quets. with Easter serving as in- spiration. March 31-Clarion comes to life in the News-Examiner in a special section to be published We-ekly. April 1-Everybody feels foolish to see so much snow. And is it colds! April 2-5-Spring vacation. Ev- erybody hopes to catch up on sleep. April 8-Seniors have long-de- layed guest party. 'tCinderella dance is a feature. April 18-Drum Corps takes pa- rade honors at Indianapolis. April 20-Hi-Y sponsors Older Boys' conference. Delegates from all around attend. April 28-Special art work of students goes on display at Westci'n Arts Association exhibit at liouis- ville, Ky. May 19-Seniors strut their stuff i11 senior play, Pals First . May 22-Juniors give Seniors an- nual reception. Swan Song copies are given out as a surprise. May 24-Baccalaureate. Patrons have chance to see exhibit of wood- work, art, and mechanical drawing. May 25-Senior vacation begins, but they all come back to visit. Nay 26-Senior Prom. May 29-Commencement.
