ELECTRICAL TRADE ELECTRICAL TRADES The electrical and electronic fields offer the young aspirant a wide range of opportunities not only in employ- ment but also to develop with ever- growing fields. The vast application of electrical appliances and heavy elec- trical equipment is another factor in- fluencing the demand for young elec- tricians. Connelley offers a boy a wide range of learning experiences in these various fields. A maintenance electrician is given the opportunity to study every aspect of heavy electrical machinery. The general electrician isgivenacom- plete course in the installation of commercial and domestic wiring. The radio and television technician on the other hand learns how to test circuits and isolate .defects in both radio and television sets. To succeed in this field a tech- nician must have a better than average scientific and mathematical ability, a firm knowledge of trade terms, tools, and materials, and a working knowl- edge of associated trades.
