Youth Pays Off Over Experience A Harriers Go To State The old adage of youth falling prey to experience, was never so false, as seen in the 1973 Cross Country team. This team, that went on to place 12th in state, did so with- out the aid of any Seniors. They were the smallest team, consisting of only seven boys and one girl, but they were mightier than most. Besides doing competition against such schools as Othello, Colfax, Kamiakin, Hanford, and Richland, they also did battle against the other fall sport - football. This often found the Cross Country team coming up short with fans, but yet they trudged on. On and on they Went over rugged, hilly, or sandy courses, to try and get the best time. So, they are not appreciated to the fullest degree, but their accomplishment of 12th in state is one to be proud of. M SPONSORED BY W D. D. Harris, Standard Chevron
