Just as friendship is a necessity in fulfilling a college career, SO too is in- dividuality. Time, space, and silence to separate ourselves from the crowd while remaining a part of it. At Con- necticut College this opportunity to develop and pursue personal endeavors exists. Our small size facilitates individuality as well as a closeness of community. As some of these photographs suggest, it is through a conception of ourselves that we learn to adapt to the crowd.
