VS 4 Opening What is the value of our liberal arts education in today's world? We at Connecticut College believe that such a process is worthwhile and still has a unique place in society today. These pages attempt to illustrate how the personal and intellectual growth we have achieved here is reflected in all that we do. 17 - Seniors Some faces you can never forget. Others you can never quite remember. One way or another, this section holds us all together as a class while each photograph speaks for itself, of itself. 119 Sports Athletics as well as academics at Connecticut College have always been alive and available. In- creased interest in sports has brought recognition to the school and a more diverse student body - one that is committed to ex- cellence on the playing field as well as in the classroom. 143 Dormitories Dormitories are a focal point around which the campus revolves. They are the environ- ment out of which we function, and are as various and vital as all the different faces that fill them each year. i 167 Organizations Clubs and organizations represent, another aspect of the liberal arts curriculum. Groups of people are, brought together by common ambitions, whether they are scholastic, athletic, cultural or simply social. This year has seen increased participation campus-! wide, as students exercise the many resources the college offers.:

NTS 183 - Student Life The term says it all: student life. Here at Connecticut College many different life styles coexist. A walk in the Arboretum, lunch with a professor, tailgating at a soccer game, dance concerts, art exhibits, movies, plays, trips to Norm's or Ocean's, laying out a yearbook - all teach life's lessons, and a few are preserved here. The liberal arts education depends on a constant and dedicated faculty and staff in all its departments. Their support, friendship, and guidance are essential to all our progress. The quality of their contributions is mirrored in the quality of academics overall. 215 - Closing As another yearbook closes, we wish to salute once again our liberal arts education and thank all the people that make it possible. Our dosing includes a few final thoughts on this microcosm in which we have lived the past four years. We will continue to sup- port this institution so that others may also enjoy the offerings of a liberal arts education.
