DEDICATION What is most striking about Miss Mulvey is her vigor. Her lectures flash with spontaneity, as she darts between blackboard and desk, sharp eyes rebuking the inattentive stu- dent. For Miss Mulvey history is not dull; nor are her students permitted to find it so. Miss Mulvey's force in the classroom is paralleled by her involvement almost everywhere. It is not unusual to find a queue of students waiting outside her office for a moment of discussion or advice. A conscientious volunteer, she spends many further hours at meetings of the committees guarding the interests of the college. Distinguishing Miss Mulvey from the simple altruist is the penetrating intellectual curiosity which she looses in so many directions. Not only does she make it a point to hear guest lecturers, but she attends film classes regularly to satiate her interest in film. Finally, late at night, just before the library closes, one might find her engrossed in an abstruse journal or foreign newspaper. In sum, Miss Mulvey is an exemplary member of our col- lege community a superior professor, an active con- tributor, and an avid student. Connecticut College owes its integrity to such individuals.
