With post-war reconversion to pre- war activities come the informal dances, and with them a re-issue of the college weekend . Gray tlarmels and sports jackets replace Army drab . . . bands replace the war-time juke- box . . . and Shwitfs and Whitts sing their hearts out for us. We are poor little lambs Two for the show We are little black sheep In addition to the Midwinter Formal put on by Service League there are three other big dances throughout the year: in the fall . . . Sophomore Hop; in the spring . . . Junior Prom; exclusively ours . . . Senior Ball. Sat- urday night spotlight falls on Knowl- ton and the swing of our newest tulle and taffeta in time to graceful waltz and swingtul foxetrot. Remainder of the weekend may include hayrides, picnics, and, for the hardy, breakfast in Buck Lodge. Page twenty-scvcn

IlD-Dayll fDESHMAN ENTEDTAINMENT Freshman year presents a flurry of activities all strictly our own. The first Chaotic week brings Freshman Dinner, the President's re- ception, and the big introduction to the Coast Guard Academy. We perform skits for our Junior sisters and they retaliate with a Fashion Show. What the best-dressed col- lege girl will wear is the theme, and we gaze and admire . . . and go back to our jeans. After Christmas Pageant we go carolling from dorm to dorm, watching our breath curl up in the frosty air and holding candles in our mittened hands. ,IVJ -Dayn Junior-Freshman confab
