Class Poem PARTING WORDS The time has come for us to say Farewell to our school years, So let's all pause to think awhile Of learning garnered here. We started our quest for knowledge In ways very much the same, With naught but ourselves to offer And the highest honors to gain. We've been proud to be a part of Minerva's hallowed halls. But now like those before us We go where duty calls. The memories that will linger In our minds for years to come Will ever be reminding us It's Conneaut High we're from. We appreciate the teachers, Who have taught us all we know, And have tried in some small way Our gratitude to show. We're leaving dear Conneaut High School and are fearfully looking ahead To the days and years that will follow And the various paths we shall tread. And thus closes another chapter In this game of life we play, But the lessons taught let's keep in mind With the parting of each day. Nancy M. Antila
